reads SD cards and usb sticks, but for me it's the 3.5 mm jack on cable that counts. I use it to listen to songs stored on my mp3 player in any car with the needed electric socket (which almost every car has nowadays). The sound transmitted is satisfying, better than most radio stations.
it needs to be in the socket and in some cars it goes in the way of other stuff (like a handbrake for example). Sometimes it can't beat a radio station signal with the same or near frequency. Some of the very high tones aren't reproduced well (it crackles).
For me the remote is obsolete
If your car radio can't handle memory cards, usb sticks and audio input, this is a great enhancement for your car.
