  • Say hello to a great scale

    posted by erdabyz on 10/02/2008

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

-It is VERY small, much more than expected

-Very accurate, tested with coins (which have fixed weghts and act like precission weights) and the scale wasn't wrong in any measure. Also compared with sku.10005 and sku.3390 and gave same measures (+-0.1g)

-Has a blue retroiluminated screen, and you can turn off light to save battery

-Doesn't matter if you don't put the things in the center of the weighting area, it gaves the same measure

-Uses two CR2032 lithium batteries, very cheap.

    -Includes intructions in the cap.

-As all precission scales that measure weight (force) instead of mass, you'll have to recalibrate it if you live in a hight place (more than 5000m above sea level) because gravity decreases with height and if the scale is very accurate it may detect variations.

This one has an accuracy of 0.1g and shouldn't be very affected.

-Came with batteries inserted, so they may have discharged a bit.

-Display varies very fast, so it is difficult to see if you are for example weighting water, and you want a precise amount, because the display will vary ultra fast as you remove or add water and you won't see if you are getting closer to the amount. It should have a 0.5 seconds refresh rating, to allow the screen to refresh and don't give illegible numbers until it's stabilized.

-Mine came with green LED instead of blue.

-Says hello when you turn it on

Well, worked as expected so there's nothing mroe to say.
