Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:

This is a nice and compact sensor, build quality is good, connector is ready for a standard Dupont type plug. Price is very good, these sensors cost a multiple of this price when purchased locally.

    Cons:

The sensor does not have a Smitt trigger. This means that you will need a very "clean" signal, otherwise the start and end of the signal may cause fluttering. This makes the sensor useless when the signal is very rapid or very slow.

    OtherThoughts:

None that I can think of. The Smitt trigger omission may be corrected with a few electronics components, I am still working on that.

    Bottomline:

Given the low price, this is a good sensor to play around with. Don't be disappointed if it turns out not to work properly in your application, because of the lack of the Smitt trigger logic.
