Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:

o This GPRS modem can be used to connect directly to a PIC microcontroller's TTL level (E)UART after some simple modifcations
    o Good build quality
o Well documented Benq M32 chipset
o No problems registering on network and working with an Amaysim (Optus reseller) SIM card (Australia)

    Cons:

o Nothing really stands out as a con.

    OtherThoughts:

o Quite a few web sites feature this GPRS modem in microcontroller projects from PICs to Arduinos, so plenty of information is available.

    Bottomline:

o An inexpensive GPRS modem for use with microcontrollers
o Also functions as intended (at least for sending SMS text messages and internet browsing) plugged into the USB port of a netbook to laptop computer :-)
