    Takes common easy to find AA batteries, batteries last a long time even on high. Very nice even spread of light with no apparant artefacts, versatile with hanging hooks or just standing, green blinking led tells you the batteries are ok to use.     Besides being the brightest lantern I've seen for it's size, it will work best when hung vertically from the highest point in the center of a tent (or room)ceiling.     Very Bright, very uniform light output, Small, Rugged Construction, Lightweight Small plastic clips are not easily removed from the yellow clip holder thingies, and break easily if you try to remove them.     Its a fairly small lantern for the amount of light it puts out. Runs on 3 AAA batteries (included) which are relativly easy to find and replace. Has 3 modes: High, low, slow strobe.
