  • Macro without macro-dedicated lens

    posted by Kinthoriour on 10/04/2012

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:more than 1 month

Nicely built, full metal, with a nice and easy to use locking system, many magnification powers, and a decent price, this is perfect to discover macro, and maybe one day get a dedicated lens, who knows...?

If you want to go for this macro ring, you'll need to know a few things before:
    - A ring like this is better (optically speaking) than a magnifying glass, but the more you magnify the image, the more it darkens the picture, so you'll need a high-aperture lens for the most important magnifications.
    - It isn't heavy, but it has the size of an average lens, be aware of this
    - To get the best result, use this with a tripod, because you'll have to use low speeds.

If you want to discover macro, you definitely should go for this item.
