Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month
Very bright, works with AA batteries - that's very convenient. Don't buy AAA flashlight - too expensive to run, and rechargeabes are have so much lower capacity than AA's.
The battery compartment cap is hard to fit, and plastic hook seems too weak to hold it in place. Sometimes it doesn't close and a hook that's not tupposed to come of snaps and comes of. Very hard to take it off afterwards, and not water-tight. I'm afraid the hook with snap off, it seams to small for the pressure. It took me several minutes until I managed to closed it correcty so it won't snap off, and I had light. It must be much harder at night. Says rechargeable battery included, but it's not.
Not sure if the compartment cap problem is my unit only and if it's enough to ask DX to replace it. I'l wait and see if it brakes within a couple of weeks.
Other than the battery compartment door problem it looks like a very good headlamp, and plastic does not look too cheap.
