  • What a light! My favorite EDC for sure!

Very bright considering it runs off a single 18650 battery. Awesome light for close to mid range; large bright hot spot with C2 like spill really lights things nearby up. Finish seemed harder than other lights I've gotten, and will scratch but not easily. Reverse clicky seems perfectly set as it does not protrude, yet doesn't kink my thumb to activate. Chrome or nickel plated steel pill, first one I've seen is very beefy (18gms!) gives this light an overall hefty feel I like; seems to sink well as this light gets quite warm but never seems to reach hot. Good, as it's apparent this critter is driven quite hard.

Early flickering seems to have gone away with use; I blame over-anodizing on the cap threads as it must be screwed down tight or the light will not fire up. No front O-ring, and the clicky seems a little cheaply made. Reminds me of the newer C2 switches which are fragile.

For a light that runs off a single 18650, this light does quite well, balancing run time with brightness. I am very impressed with it overall and only give it a 4 for build quality because if it is not dogged down tight, it quits. If the threads were all bare metal this light would have no issues. Not a thrower, but this was expected given the format.

It was a great deal before the price drop; now it's a steal. Buy one or more and enjoy! This form function has been a long time coming and I look forward to an R2 version (in stainless please!).
