    Pros:

The first thing that I have tought when I have looked to these transistor was that they could has been fake. This because ALL (except ic TL431) of them have a *331 code on them (where the star stays for a letter), all have the same kind of lasered typecode writings, all of them have the same details over the to92 package. I have read these "coincidences" as an ALARM (thinking that the same type of unknown to92 transistor could have been marked in different ways). So, I have tested some of them, and I have had (FORTUNATELY!!) to change my first opinion.

    Cons:

    N-O-N-E

    OtherThoughts:

Here are some of the measurements that I have done:
    2n3904 hFE>230, VbrCEO>80V, VCEsat<0,15V(Ic=100mA)
    2n3904 hFE>200, VbrCEO>70V, VCEsat<0,20V(Ic=100mA)
    SS8050 hFE>190, VbrCEO>25V, VCEsat<0,45V(Ic=800mA)
    2SC1815 hFE>150, VbrCEO>80V, VCEsat<0,15V(Ic=100mA)
    2n5551 hFE>115, VbrCEO>190V, VCEsat<0,15V(Ic=100mA)

    Bottomline:

    Good to have
