  • PowTech PT4115 based LED driver module

    Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    The module is based on the PowTech PT4115 step-down LED driver, with 5000:1 Dimming via PWM if needed.

    Input voltage is really 8-30V.

    Current is set by the only resistor on the module. I put in a 1ohm, which gives 100mA instead of 650mA. So it can drive 1W or 1/2W LEDs too....

    Up to 1.2A current drive is possible.

    None that I can think of

    Datasheet for the driver chip can be found on Google.

    R= 0.1/I

    1ohm resistor gives 0.1A

    0.33ohm resistor gives 0.3A

    0.1ohm resistor gives 1.0A

    I'm using the module with the side emitter LEDs found here for model plane Nav lights. Under drive the LED so it doesn't need a heatsink.

    Very versatile small LED driver for up to 30V input.
