this sensor can do the job well for simple projects. works well with arduinos
it is a very simple sensor, requires a deeper knowledge of how it works as well as programming skills to be able to operate it correctly. Make sure you read the data sheet or try to find pre made code to run it. It also doesn't work very well at short ranges (under 5 cm) and is subject to much interference it mounted close to other objects. Mine doesn't measure anywhere near the published 450cm either, its closer to 100cm
might be worth it to buy a more expensive sensor to avoid the hassle this one gives
it's a hassle to use but can get the job done (from 5cm - 100cm) with some skilled programming and mounting
