Cheap, fast and easy to use. As wide as the sata connector, and not longer than nessesary. Tested with a FW800 interface and doing so the FW 800 seems to be the bottleneck.
The Sata connector is welded ontop of the circuit board, and the components on the other side of the board are much higher than they need to be (1-2mm). Due to this the unit does not fit in a Sata-dock for example. (without modding the sata dock).
On the opposite side, there is a jumper-switch witch ads 5-6mm of thickness more then necessary.
There are three possible options on the jumper switch, there is no information other then on chineese, of what they do.
The jumpers height issue is pretty easy to get around. Just cut them down with pliers and weld together. For me its perfect, since i had an old SSD lying around.
Im planing to build a cabinet with a SKU: 172080, to get a small usb3/SSD external drive.
If your planing on mounting in to a 2.5" Sata cabinet im sorry to disappoint you, its way to long to fit (a sata hdd is also much wider, so you would end up carrying around a lot of air).
Great if your planing to use it in a DIY project. Could be a bit cheaper, but im guessing since there are very few similar products out there, just it being available makes it a bargain.
