  • Circular Polariser

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:more than 1 month

It's a circular polarising filter. It works exactly as advertised.

The filter screws onto the end of a 52mm lens. The polariser rotates independently of the screw thread, so that you can use it at any angle.

It autofocuses and meters properly on my DSLR.

Solid build quality, made of strong metal.

The ring rotates a bit too freely, and the rotating motion is a bit 'grainy'.

The metal has some slight discolourations on the inside.

Like all polarising filters, this will reduce light going into the camrea significantly.

This will only cut reflections completely at the correct angle. It's more useful for bringing out the blue of the sky.

Great quality for a very low price.
