Easy to use. Documentation for this LCD can be easily found. Poor contrast but I have probably just had ban luck. I have purchased other LCDs of the same type and their contrast is much better... You can find many small and big projects on the web using this display and it is ideal to be used with Arduino or similar boards. The SPI interface is very ... Read more

Very nice display and a great price, I use it with the Texas instrument Launch pad micro controller. I intend to use it with the Arduino in the near future and have downloaded the library files from the Arduino site. First of all this module lack of documentation (manual). Second, like many of other reviewers said, poorly packaged during shipment. The ... Read more

It's cheap module, very easy to use. After few hours of seeking and checking i found that Adafruit-PCD8544-Nokia-5110-LCD-library works with it. Badly packed. Pins were skewed, but - fortunly - after correcting curl works fine. It would be nice if lcr will be better secured - in bubble packages for example. Now - there was risk that lcr will be destroyed ... Read more

The product was properly packing with antistatic bag and bubble paper. The size is perfect for the typical aplications and higly recommended by the electronic hobbyst. Easy to conect into a bread board, the module has the pins for this use (just plug it into a breadboard) The module has a little scratches, but nothing important, doesn't have information ... The PCB is of good quality (PCB alone would get 5 stars). LCD is easy to use, libraries available. Good price. Screen is refurbished, possibly not a nokia original, you might get a scratched one. Mine had ugly and deep scratches, so I replaced it with a display salvaged from an original Nokia phone. The LCD I has has better contrast, refresh rates and ... Read more

Very very cheap display that works like a charm with the well-known Arduino libraries for this display. Well soldered pins on pcb easy to connect to arduino. The light blue backlight is very useful when you want to read the display in the darkness. I've not found any cons. for this item. Works very well, you can write characters or draw everything you ... It's in a good shape (no scratches) the back light works and with some googling I found the instructions that told how to use it with an Arduino. The pins seem to be in a different order than what they usually are compared to other breakout boards I found in the tutorials. Might cause some headache, just watch out that you don't break anything if you ... Read more

Cheap Soldered on pcb with easy to use pins (just plug it into a breadboard). Works with 5V (caution : this is outside the device's specs, but it works, see "other thoughts"). None It's recommended to use this device with 3.3V logic level. If your controller uses 5V for logic, you'll need a level converter like SKU: 178286. It will work fine ... Read more
