Pros: cheap, useful for amateurs, works surprisingly well after some effort. Cons: needs firmware change in order to work, couldn't use this product with software included on page, no tutorial featuring firmware change included on product site. Good tool if you have enough time. You shouldn't if... Read more

It's a kind of tricky to get it working but OK once you make it. This is how it worked for me (Win7): 1) Plug the device in a USB 2.0 socket (USB 3.0 doesn't work for me) 2) You need to install a driver so that the OS recognizes the device: Download zadig.exe from http://zadig.akeo.ie/ a) Run it... PROS: Good little helper for debugging and analysis of protocols. Bought this for debugging some home automation appliance. Works great with open source capturing- and analysis-software for linux. Nothing i found does the job for that awesome cheap price. I recommended the analyzer to my friends... Read more

pros: low price, easy to install with pulsewiew, fast enought for being very usefull. cons: pulseview for windows is buggy, the other softwares available need extra wotks. other thoughts: the amount of data collected is amaizing, for signals up to 1mhz it is too cheap not to have.

pros: very useful product, decodes many protocols. cons: no cons, but it should not be marketed as a logic analyzer. (the software of third parties makes it a logic analyzer) This unit is actually just a simple interface board which you can use with USBEE and Saleae software but also with other... Read more

This device has 8 digital I/O and no analogue input or output. Does not work seem to work with the software downloaded from dx.com. Probably would work if the PID/VID number of the chip was changed as described in a user support item there. Does work as a logic analyser using Pulseview, a free a... Read more

I manage to have the device worked after many hours of trial. 1- Do not work without powered HUB connected between the device and the computer. 2- Work with software from SALEAE 24M_8CH (version 1.1.15). 32 bit version has worked on win XP and Win 7. 3- Could request to change PID and VID for and... Pros: Cheap if making peculiar things working is your hobby; you will have many evenings of fun for a few dollars. Cons: despite many evenings trying to get it work it doesn't yet. When following the step by step guide in it seemed to work first but then everything went wrong. I can't install a I... Read more

Pros: I'm using this gadget with sigrok/pulseview (http://sigrok.org/wiki/PulseView) and while I so far only tried UART, up to 1Mbaud it seems to work reasonably well. I only bought the thingie to reverse engineer such low-speed stuff, and for that it works great so far. I couldn't make it work I... Read more
