I bought 4 of these to use in wireless sensor project. Every one of them works perfectly at ranges of about 20 meters through floors and walls. They are very low power (In sleep mode they consume 900nA (0.9 µA, or 0.0009mA)) - so are great for low power/battery powered projects. I'm using them on...

I'm using them on two Arduino Pro (http://www.dx.com/p/tj-02-pro-mini-module-atmega328-5v-16m-for-arduino-blue-250587 SKU 250587) and two Arduino Unos. On the pros you will need to step the voltage down as these run on ~3.3v and the 5v Pro can only provide 5v - the Unos can easily provide 3.3v. I'm using the NRF24L01+ library from: http://tmrh20.github.io/RF24/ - and it works great. These modules are fantastic - the only consideration is that the pin layout on the module itself prevents them from being used in a breadboard. You will need female->male jumper cables, or will need to solder your own connection to them. I'm using the jumper cables and have had zero problems. Pros: Cheap, low power, great range Cons: A bit hard to wire - but this fault is with the NRFL24 module layout, not this particular SKU Overall: Worth every penny

Good product. Haven't got it tested yet about the range but with the model name you can find videos and information sites about the range. But indoors use this works fine.
If you dont have already male to female breadboard wires, you should buy some.
You cant plug this directly to the breadboard.
Reasonably cheap and pretty reliable wireless module. Works well in the building when a distance is within 10m and there are not too many thick walls between the nodes. Supports retransmission and data integrity control, makes the programming very straightforward. Excellent Arduino library is so...

Supports retransmission and data integrity control, makes the programming very straightforward. Excellent Arduino library is available. None noted so far. For those needing to cover longer distances there are versions of this transceiver with the external antenna available on DX. Noticeably more expensive of course. The best wireless module for the tasks of home automation that I know of.
