You can remove the outer shell and easily clean the foam of any accumulated dust or hairs.

Fits 12 cm fans, fan holes exactly match up with filter holes. overall size is 12.5 cm dia. just under 1 cm thick, check your available area before purchase. there are gaps caused by the holes slightly protruding (by approx 1mm) above the rest of the filter shroud. I removed them with a dremel type rotary tool, could be done with a knife if careful.... Read more
