with a voltage of 2 volts consumed the initial current is about 2.5 amps, which descends about 2 amps when the temperature exceeds 50 degrees.
Is relatively easy to achieve a temperature difference of 40 C ° between two sides of the Peltier device. For testing I used two identical heat sinks equipped with fan, located on each side of the Peltier cell. It is a means inefficient cooling a CPU but is effective when it does not matter 24 watts consumption.
Actually these Peltier cells are very economical, although not an efficient method for cooling. But yes they are effective. Do not forget to use a light coat of silicone grease to reduce thermal resistance between the Peltier cell and heat sinks.
