    I'm using this bracket to replace a DVD drive with a 3.5" harddrive. This bracket has a very good quality; the plastic is thick and robust. The dimensions are very, very precise and the 3.5" drive will fit very snugly. You almost don't need screws (but it's useful for transporting of course). I a... Read more

    Used to mount a 3.5 inch or 2.5 inch hard drive or SSD (or even a usb card reader) into a 5.25 inch optical drive bay. Has a front face-plate in case you don't have the original face-plate for your computer case. (If you want to replace the optical drive in a pre-built computer with a 2.5 inch or... Read more

    Pros: It seems to be a genuine item from Akasa. With the multiple holes, you can adjust your stuff very well. Nice sober look. Cons: For a simple piece of plastic, the price is a little bit high. It can be even more usefull with 2 USB ports, one verticaly on each side. Other thoughts: I use it an... Read more

    Impression:Useful;

    Pros: Reasonably cheap. Cons: The bay is rather tight for standard SATA 3.5" HDDs. I had to jam the HDD right up against the front of the bay for the screw holes to line up, warping the front a little. Conclusion: The price is a tad high (~$13 AUD/$10 USD) for the quality of the item, could have... Read more

    Holds my 2.5" card reader very well. A very sturdy piece of plastic. The front 2.5" bay filler plastic (which I just popped out) could be used to fill a empty 2.5" slot in another black plastic case (something I have needed from time-to-time). Can also be used to hold an SSD. Would... Read more

    - Build quality is excellent. I guess Akasa does make good product - Price is fairly ok to me. - Perform much better than other 5.25 to 2.5 bracket and the price is not that much different. - Comes with necessary screws. - It advertised the item to hold SSD. i used it to hold a 2.5 multicard ( on... - modular, can be used for 2.5" devices, ssd drives and standard hard drives. - easily installed - easily adapted for different devices. - requires some skill for installing. Very useful. Even if you buy it for one thing (like 3.5 disks) you can make up your mind afterwards and use it for 2.5 disks or accesories, is very very flexible. Fits perfectly on the 5.2 bay, even with only 1 screw gets fixed, I'm very happy with it Be careful because included screws might not be right for... Read more
