    Small, simple to use, gets the job done. . You need to find the driver for it, easy though. And a Windows XP driver worked on Windows 8.1. Could come with a protection over it... a little box.     Very cheap, working as expected, drivers available for almost every OS. Has +5V and +3.3V pins. Nice LEDs indicating power, TX and RX activity. None at all. This device works as expected.
