    Impression:Great product!;

    Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
    - EASY TO USE: connect grounds, power the 5V line and the data lines will be level-shifted;
    - you also get a 3.3V power source if you need it, but you can leave the 3.3V pin unconnected;
    - GOOD OVERALL QUALITY;
    - the fact that the pins aren't soldered means you can choose to solder wires directly or solder the pins on either sides of the board (for e.g. mounting on a breadboard);
    - IT JUST WORKS

    Cons:
    - be prepared to solder (but it's not that hard really);
    - only 4 data lines; you'll need several modules if you need to level-shift more lines.

    OtherThoughts:
    That was my first solder in years but it was not that hard. Just search YouTube for HOWTO's. A soldering iron and a helping hand will be required though.
    I used 3 of those boards to connect two cheap but excellent L298N-based motor driver boards made for Arduino (5V) to my Beaglebone Black (3.3V output on GPIO) : http://www.dx.com/p/l298n-stepper-motor-driver-controller-board-for-arduino-120542
    Works without any problem.

    Bottomline:
    Great product. Boards like this with more data lines would be welcome though.
