Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week
Achieves a much more natural hand orientation than a conventional mouse, has a comfortable feel and seems solid and well made. The tiny receiver doesn't get in the way of any other USB devices.
No indicators on it at all, so I don't know what DPI it is set to apart from feel. No battery indicators, I guess when they need replacing it will just stop working & I'll see if new ones fix it? It doesn't come with any drivers, and I can't find any online, so at the moment the buttons above and below the thumb rest are configured to the generic Microsoft standard settings, I'd rather just disable them because I tend to hit them accidently when I reach blindly for the mouse.
I had to stop using a normal mouse because I was starting to feel pain in my wrist. I now have a normal mouse beside my left hand and this vertical mouse beside my right hand, and I find them both equally challenging to get used to, but I'm learning to be more natural with both of them.
I have a colleague with a $200 Microsoft vertical mouse, and I don't regret ordering this one instead
