Really makes soldering easier since it removes oxidization as well as makes the solder sticking better to copper-surfaces. Has a quite plesant smell to it, but I wouldn't recommend you smelling at the vapours for too long.
The flux I got was without doubt NOT made by Amtech. The label was spelled incorrectly, and had no hologram on it. Cap doesn't have threads and therefore does not seal as good as it could. Also contained no plunger for the syringe, so you would need to get one for your self. I also think that this flux is a bit to thick, it's like a very heavy grease that is hard to put on in smaller doses.
You are buying this on your own risk, there is no guarantee for you to recieve a genuine Amtech flux. You might as well get a low price imitation.
The flux itself was quite good, it does it's work despite the fact being a copy. But DX really shouldn't market it as Amtech, when it's clearly not.
