Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:

It's a leaded solder wire, which sould mean an easy-to-use solder wire. 0.8mm is ideal for most soldering duties (wire sodlering, through hole components, etc)

    Cons:

This thing doesn't contains enough flux in it. Flux is needed to clean the parts to sodler. If parts are not cleaned by the flux, the solder can't adhere to the parts and you just cannot solder anything.

    OtherThoughts:

Just not usable if you do not use external flux. I use home made flux to clean the parts to solder.

    Bottomline:

If you have external flux (liquid or grease) you can use this but anyway it's not very convienient. I found at DealExtreme a 0.6mm solder wire which is really better (by far). I see no reason to use this 0.8mm one.
