Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:

Item appears to be genuine item and seems to give the rated gain. Easy to install. Much cheaper than buying the same item in the retail channel.

    Cons:

It's an insignificant point, but 5dBi of gain over the stock antennae usually doesn't make a great amount of difference to reception. It's unlikely to make areas where there is no signal usable. (Hey, I had to put something in this field…)
    The antennae holder seems superfluous.

    OtherThoughts:

The original antennae was hard to remove due to the shoe covering them, and the left-hand antenna nut being over-tightened by the manufacturer.

    Bottomline:

If you're not getting five bars of reception from your current set up, buy it.
