Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week
It seems solidly built. Has forward facing LEDs that may aid visibility in rear view mirrors.
- Does not seem water resistant. - Not loud enough. In fact it is about as loud as a decent mechanical bicycle ringer. Perhaps the 120 dB is the theoretical maximum sound level 1mm from the emitter.
Not really worthwhile if you are seeking a loud auditory signal that will cut through traffic noise and be heard by anyone. It is highly improbable that card drivers or motorcycle riders would hear this horn, let alone see the lights.
Skip it if you are looking for a safety device. It makes a very good horn for warning pedestrians and other bike riders in quiet areas however.
