  • Great value, very accurate

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:

Very accurate, includes batteries, can display millimeters or inches, comes with decent padded hard plastic case, has thumbscrew, zero button, slide retainer, depth gauge, all the common features.

    Cons:

Slide is just a tad rough, case is a bit too flimsy for "toss in the toolbag" handling. Case arrived with a broken corner but does not affect much.

    OtherThoughts:

I compared the measurements of the clamp (outside diameter fingers) to the shims we have at work. I did not get a chance to test the ID fingers, but it should be just as accurate.
In inches .060, .250, .750, 1.250, and 2.50 all came out perfect, not even one thousandth off. I hope it will stay calibrated so well.

    Bottomline:

Great value. Comparable calipers would cost $30 to $50 and this one -- so far -- is as good as the digital Mitutoyos at work.
    Very accurate.
