Inexpensive, all metal construction and works as advertised. Build quality is better than it looks in the product images.
Red dot markings to align lens mount could be better positioned (in the lens barrel instead of mount flange). No white dot to align EF-S lenses. No electrical contacts for focus confirmation or aperture control.
I received a Massa tube. The box is different from the the one depicted in the product images but the item seems identical. Size is approximately the same of the EF-S 18-55mm "kit" lens, but it's somewhat lighter. Consider using it with a macro rail (sku 9430) and a solid tripod. An angle finder and remote shutter could help too.
This is an alternative to the much more expensive dedicated macro lens, as long as you don't need autofocus and aperture control, and can live with some distortion and chromatic aberrations. Overall it's a well-built, light and fun accessory for macro photography on a budget.
