Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week
It's cheap, long enought and all the leds work. There are 8 modes, and at least my unit DOES have a memory of the last setting. I have had it outdoors plugged in a timer switch for a few days now, and so far it has lit up in the same mode (=steady).
The light string plugs directly to 230/250 V output, and the same voltage is in the very thin and flimsy cord. there is a resistor for each led. So I would be careful with it.
The control box is not weather proof.
The cord between the control box and the first led should be longer.
If installed outdoors, be sure that at least the control box is protected from rain. I would not dare to use this indoors, but if you do, be sure that the control box can't set anything to fire when it blows. And remember that the cord has 230/250 V which may cause a surprise to your cord-chewing pets or little children.
