Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:

It's cute, small, and cheap. 7-12 year old boys would probably be entertained by it for about five minutes. Or, people with very, very small cell phones.

    Cons:

it does not charge an iPhone.
I plugged a USB lamp to make sure it produced electricity; it does.
however, it's not enough to charge an iPhone.
I purchased it to charge an iPhone.
    it does not.
    So, it's kind of useless.

    OtherThoughts:

    buy one of these instead:

    Bottomline:

A smarter design would be slightly larger and use the crank energy to wind a spring.
The spring would then spin the dynamo to charge a set of capacitors.
The capacitors would provide electricity to a circuit
The circuit would regulate the voltage and current
The voltage and current could be switched by the user.
