Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week
- Come with a good variety of different bits, brushes, files, etc. - Case is very handy, so you don't leave the kit lsying around somewhere. - Works at a decent speed, tried some different grades of wood and the circular saws cut pretty well.
- the bits seem to wobble a bit when you turn it on, but it could just be a matter of tightening it up or adjusting the clamping mechanism.
- the box with the bits doesn't latch very well so you definately wanna use some kind of adhesive tape to secure it.
The drill arrived detached and I noticed the solder contacts on the motor had some minor rust but cleaned easily with some WD40 and q-tips.
Getting the drill back together again was a bit tricky as I wasn't sure if it was a latch or screwing system but after a few tries it snapped on easily enough.
Nice tool to have for simply hobby craft and minor repairs. Certainly not as steady as a professional set but good value for money regardless. For beginners it will help you get to grips with the different parts and how they work before moving on to a more complex and complete Dremmel.
