Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:

-small board, great for mods in smaller lights than maglite & Co. Other board are huge, only good for maglite mods.

-By changing the sene Resistor, it can run with 2A output current with ease!

    Calculating output:

0.25 / sense resistor in ohm = Output current

    Example: 0.25 / 0.125ohm = 2A output

-SS34 Diode = less heat generated

    Cons:

-A AX2003 version would by nice, its up to 3A current --> ideal for Cree XM-L

    -presoldered wires are too thiny

    OtherThoughts:

Some people try to measure the output current and have different results:

It's NOT possible to do that with a Multimeter!

The output of a switching driver is not stable like from a battery or linear driver like AMC7135. A DMM can not handle that. The wire from driver to led should not exceed 10cm!

    Bottomline:

A great catch for 2$ with good power efficiency.

After several mods, my favourite driver!
