    The product works right out of the box in Microsoft Windows (7 + 8) as well as Linux (Ubuntu) - with no installation required. Battery is included in the package.     Works with any PC or Mac with a USB port. Emulates standard mouse moves, clicks and keyboard presses. Multimedia keys work good. Compatible with XBMC. Battery life is impressive.     Bought it only for the receiver but the remote is more functional than I thought. -Plug and Play on win7 x64 win8x64 and win8.1 x64 -Control the mouse with ease -Works with XBMC -You can configure your logitech harmony remote to work with the receiver.     Device is really Plug & play, no problems with connecting. Range is really good (I had no problems with controlling so far) Mouse pointer is surprisingly good and easy to use.
