Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:more than 1 month
Hey, the price is great and this unit appears similar to many of the way overpriced computers one finds in the typical bicycling store.
Still working after a couple of years.
I've had this for some time and still cannot figure out how to get it to calibrate properly. Thanks to another reviewer, there are images of the instructions which provide a chart for settings by wheel diameter. Either I am doing something terribly wrong or am able to cruise at 80kph.
The mini 12V battery in the sending unit was dead on arrival but easily replaced.
The receiver unit rattles a bit, which I suspect may be some sort of motion detector to save battery while not in use.
If there is someone out there who has figured out how to calibrate this computer I would be very grateful for step by step instructions. I know there are instructions in English, but I've had no luck so far.
Looks like it works great, but my trouble getting it calibrated seems to limit usefulness to being just a timer.
