Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:

Much more practical than regular AA rechargables, has good capacity, decent length cable and cheap
you can charge as you play, although it may not work if the battery is totally depleted.

    Cons:

Does not contain any "secure circuitry." the charging circuit is simply a diode and 10 Ohm resistor in series with 5V, (see the images I posted)
    Battery life is pretty horrible:
I ran some tests on the battery, actual capacity was about 355mAh at 100mA discharge, the 2nd battery I tested had a similar result. This was after two days charging using the supplied cable.

    Bottomline:

OK battery for the price, get what you pay for in this case. However, it is very practical being able to put it on charge while the batteries are still in the control. Still worth it for me I think.
