Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:

Excellent cheap device compared to the real deal. Is able to read whatever sensors are available on your OBD2 compliant vehicle.

    Cons:

Won't work with software that checks for a legit ELM, as this is a clone. However basic software that doesn't check is fine.

    OtherThoughts:

Be aware that your type of vehicle may not work, or may not have all the sensors available to view. Be sure to read the forum below on tested vehicles AND where to download newer software. You MUST download the latest Serial to USB drivers. The 1.3v software that reads the data (provided on the CD) works fine for basic tasks including any vehicle fault codes. Make sure you use the baud rate 9600 as that's what worked for me. Be aware that the OBD2 port on most vehicles supplies power to the port even with the vehicle off. Also you MUST have the ignition ON to read data and connect to the device.

    Bottomline:

Perfect for the price, but READ other people experiences, and don't expect it to work perfectly with every type of vehicle.
