Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month
Pros:
Light can use AA if you're in a pinch or don't have 14500 batteries lying around. It also is fairly bright, has multiple modes and glow in the dark "O" rings.
Cons:
Pathetic if AA batteries are used. The glow in the dark switch isn't bright enough to be practical.
OtherThoughts:
The light doesn't start on a terribly bright mode, but it's well made and useful. I suppose someone will always have a AA battery lying around.
Bottomline:
Overall, you're better off with a better light. This is not a solid choice for a pocket light. If you've got a box of AA batteries lying around, fine; otherwise, get a brighter light. Better yet, use the higher volt 14500 battery and it should be fine.
