This is a very small lantern, for a 3-AA lantern. It uses dim, cheap, or early generation light blue LEDs... which is why it don't cost much.

Batteries should last long in it, because it's not powerful. Construction is fair for this price.

Unlike many, & expensive lanterns, it doesn;t shine more light in your face & eyes, instead of down at what you're looking at. The brightest part of the light is pointed downward where you need it, instead of glaring up at your eyes.

It's a cute, pretty, little light. Almost pocket-sized. It will fit in most pockets tightly, or easily in a coat pocket.

It is dim, & light blue, but a brighter than any nightlight. You won't be able to read by it, unless you set it right beside the page.

I can't tell if these are cheap older generation LEDs, or just modern cheap bin, light blue LEDs. Someday if I check the runtime, I should know. Modern ones are more efficient.

Cheap, almost pocket sized lantern. Not bad for the price, but don't expect to be dazzled. Seems durable enough to be a kid's toy or kid's light too.
