It's a handy, small device with a sharp pin to push into the food. The pin is protected by a pen like case. Using the thermometer is very easy, just two buttons. One for switching between C and F and the other is the power switch.
It seems the thermometer should not be used as a calibrated device, because my boiling water is 98,7 degrees Celcius according to my thermometer. Also the thermometer is a bit slow.
It's a bit slow, but hey, cooking isn't meant to be a rush.
It's a well priced device. Don't think you can meassure scientific experiments with it, but it's good enough for the cooking process.
