  • Does what it is intended for, description is wrong

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

Does what it's supposed to do, not what the description says (see other thoughts).

    Works very well.

I can't think of any, except that the description is wrong.

This adapter splits a 4-contact-connector for the iPod/iPhone into two 3-contact-connectors for normal use (like the inputs/outputs of a sound card). The iPod/iPhone connector has 4 contacts: Ground, Left, Right and Mic. The adapter splits this connector into Ground/Left/Right for an audio source and into Ground/Mic for an audio input. With this you can use your iPod/iPhone headset with your laptop.

If you want to use your loved iPod/iPhone headset on your laptop or somewhere else with two normal connectors for stereo and mic (for Skype, TeamSpeak, etc.), use this adaptor. Works.
