First of all, I want to confirm that this definitely works with the Nano 5G.
The signal strength is VERY good, and is much much better than my old *brand name* FM transmitter. As far as I can tell it seems to remember the last used frequency when powered down (not sure for how long though).
Sound quality is nearly as good as a direct audio line out, for both voice podcasts and for music.
2 very minor cons:
The audio signal is taken from the dock connector on the iPod, which means you have crank up your car stereo pretty high.
The lead from the charger/transmitter to the iPod isn't very flexible, which can make it difficult to position your iPod if you have limited storage space in your car console.
Both are very minor issues.
I'm not a big fan of the locking iPod cables with the two little push buttons on each side. I much prefer the "pull it by the cable" lead that came with my Nano 5G.
