You can zoom in on one access point (unlike omnis, you won't get the signal from all the other APs). Little interference
The gain is very high, so you will get a strong signal.
Thick and short cable limits losses.
    Rubber/plastic to avoid scratching things
It is RP-SMA so connects to everything I have - USB wifi adapters, APs, PepWave.

You do have to aim it which can take some effort and make mounting interesting, thought it has the hardware for it and there are signal strength utilities.
Just a bit too large and awkward to really be portable, or perhaps "mobile".

The roll doesn't seem to matter, i.e. the elements can stick out vertical or horizontal or diagonal and I get the signal as long as the pitch and yaw are right.
The only better antenna would be an obtrusive parabolic.
A remote (300m) AP that I would get a marginal signal if I had the 15dbi omni just right gets a full strength signal.

This is perfect to fix distance and/or interference problems with a fixed AP.
