It works fine like it should. I tried it with 15" MacBook Pro (mid 2010) and MacBook Pro with Retina Display (mid 2012) It fit the MagSafe-to-MagSafe-2 adapter snugly like it should also. It seems to work great with both my 15" Macbook pro from 2007 and my 15" Macbook Pro from 2011. Even after running for several hours (general computing, not heavy load) the adapter is barely warm so that's a great sign. Build quality is very good.
