Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    -Compact, US plug folds flat.
-Can fit batteries in charger, in paper box.
-Low current charging is safer, doesn't overhead or stress batteries.
-Red is charging, green is good, simple indicator.
-Lightweight, carry as my backup charger in pack.

    -Not heavyweight and sturdy.
-Low current takes longer to charge batteries.
-Not designed for 16340s or other size batteries.
-Not programmable for fancy charging techniques.

Because "buck" converters that lower voltage are generally more efficient that "boost" converters that raise voltage, I typically buy 2-cell (18650) flashlights; also twice the mAh. So I nearly always charge 2 batteries at once. I carry a spare set with me, and this is a light, compact, simple charger when I swap batteries.

If you want fancy, get something with a readout, or programmable, or whatever -- but you're going to spend $45-100 dollars, and it is going to sit at home. If you want a cheap, highly portable charger to go in your pack, this one is great!
