Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Feels solid.

    Memory capacity is 973Megs.

The two included songs are pretty hilarious.

Good sound quality, both with playback, FM radio, and voice recording.

    Decent quality included headphones.

Decent pen, though it's kind of heavy (50 grams).

Charges quickly and has a relatively long battery life (around 7 hours, as stated in the packaging).

Song and data transfer is accomplished though drag and drop.

Acts as a USB flash drive.

Unbeatable price for everything you get.

The menu system takes a bit to get used to.

    No shuffle feature.

2.5mm headphone jack (though it does come with included earbuds).

No cap for the player portion if you want to remove the pen and carry it around separately.

Included USB extension cable is short (just over 2 feet) and requires some force to attach to the player (or any other USB device).

Doesn't support M4A (iTunes) and some others but conversion is trivial.

The included USB-to-AC converter has non-polarized plugs.

It's a pretty solid deal for everything that you get, even though you may never have considered buying a voice recording pen Mp3 player.

I don't really see this as gift material, even though it comes in a nice box, just because of the effort required (non-intuitive menu, no screen, format conversion, 2.5mm earphone jack, carrying the entire pen around), so only give if you know the person receiving would not mind the inconvenience.
