Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week
This kit holds all parts in a thin slide-shut plastic case, resembling a credit card at a distance. It can be used to open simple desk drawer and filing cabinet locks with basic skills.
The tensor wrench/tool is much too shallow, and easily (and constantly) falls out of the lock during use.
A variety of picks types are included in the kit. The tensor wrench could be (with some tooling work) / could have been redesigned to allow for deeper insertion into the target lock. The 'credit card' sticker on the top of the case is thin plastic, and has Chinese (simplified) characters on it, making it more noticeable (bad) in English speaking countries. The case itself is about 3 ~ 4 times the thickness of a real credit card.
Hmmm... A fun toy, looks like something James Bond 007 would use. Not 'easy' to hold / use, but better than a paperclip and bobby pin in most cases.
Note: If caught on the street with this or similar kits in the USA, you WILL be suspect if there are nearby break-ins, as these are considered 'thieves/locksmith tools', officially.
