  • Not too bad

    Radio looks professional

Not bad power output at all for the price (however it isn't 5W)

CAN be programmed with kenwood software and cable so you can put the frequencies of various things like security guards, taxis, cops etc (but don't transmit!!!!)

Can be used (albeit) unlawfully for PMR and FRS

Not bad range for the price

It isn't 5W. That is spurious. I found that on many other sites it is advertised as 3W. Whilst I'm not certain which is correct at $30 I suspect the lower one is more likely to be accurate

Charger feels cheap and nasty. It's very light and just feels "unsafe" if you know what I mean

Not really a con but almost useless without a programming cable

Not a bad radio at all. But make sure you get a programming cable for it
