  • Seems to work in parallel

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

I am using 2 of these drivers in parallel to drive a string of three P7 emitters. (This technique supplies less current than the P7 max ratings, but I have limited heat-sinking in my application, and it seems to be the only AC-powered option on DX at the moment.) Some LED drivers are not stable when multiple units are combined in parallel. This one appears to be. It's been running for a few hours and the drivers are no hotter than when I use them individually. I haven't measured the combined current but I have quickly switched from 1 to 2 drivers and the difference in light output seems to indicate that 2 drivers successfully deliver double the current.

No protective case. As others have noted, you can shrink-wrap the whole thing (using the big heat-shrink tubing used for battery packs)

Hopefully it will prove reliable in the long-term.

Great driver, as are all of the DX constant current drivers I've tried so far.
