Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Discrete appearance. Price.

I've had two units. One, I thought, was DOA. The next, though, has the same problem: When I hook up my iPod and BlackBerry, a BlackBerry alert pops up and says the hub doesn't have enough current to charge the device. So I checked the power adapter that came with the hub with my multimeter. Although the adapter claims to output 1 Amp, my multimeter only read 0.43 amps.

For all intents and purposes, this is really just an unpowered USB hub. Best case scenario: Combine the power that comes in from the computer via the USB port plus the meagre charge from the adapter and you might be able to charge two devices. Maybe.

Deal Extreme has other powered USB hubs that work better, although they don't look as nice. Try one of those instead.
