Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:less than 1 day
- Restores the full Xbox 360 capacity of reading discs.
- Price is ridiculously low (here in brazil it's like 40 bucks)
- Relatively easy to install
- Easy to de-solder ball
- It arrived here faster than i thought it would. (15 days)
Attention here. There's a con about installing it.
When you are gonna put that white little piece that attaches the laser to the rail, pay attention on tightning the screw. The screw hole in the black plastic base is FRAGILE. It's kinda tough to tight it because the hole is "virgin". If you tight too much, the screw may end loosen and the laser WONT work. I've done that with a laser that I bought in brazil, and i lost it.
So BE CAREFUL when tightning the screw.
The solder ball is very easy to remove, just wait untill a proper temperature of the iron, and touch it without the need of a sucker. The solder ball will turn into something like this: < | > (3 solder balls), and then test it. If the laser doesnt light up, try sucking the solder away.
This is a very very good deal. Don't send it to maintenance, do it yourself. It's easy if you TAKE CARE.
